Valley Plumbing has run heating since 2011, and we just opened the Lehi office at 1490 N 300 E to serve the Silicon Slopes growth belt without driving down from Salt Lake. The Lehi customer is different. Newer construction across Traverse Mountain, Holbrook Farms, Skye Estates, Ivory Ridge, Cold Springs Ranch, Thanksgiving Point, and The Grove. Larger square footage. Dual-zone HVAC standard from the builder. Smart-home integrations on most thermostats. And the 2014-vintage builds are now hitting the 12-year mark — the first-furnace-replacement cohort starts now.
Lehi elevation actually helps heat-pump efficiency. The cold-climate heat pumps we install here run cleaner balance points than down in the valley because the temperature drops are less abrupt — a Traverse Mountain bench home sees a more gradual heating curve than a slab in West Jordan. That makes dual-fuel (heat pump for milder hours, gas furnace for the truly cold nights) the most efficient setup we install on this side of the point. Federal 25C tax credit plus Rocky Mountain Power rebates stack into real savings on a properly designed system.
Mountain-side homes — Traverse Mountain, the upper Skye Estates loop, Suncrest borderline — also deal with stronger winds and more thermal stress on rooftop and side-yard equipment.
