Excavation is the kind of job you only want to do once. Tearing up a yard, cutting concrete, pulling permits, coordinating Blue Stakes — none of it is fun, and none of it gets cheaper when you're shopping a third bid at midnight on a Friday. Valley's headquarters is on Dannon Way Suite 11, just off New Bingham Highway, and our excavation division — full mini-excavators, vac trucks, pipe-bursting rigs, utility locators — works out of that yard. When you call from Sugar Factory, Westridge, Jordan Landing, or the Bangerter corridor, the trucks are already 5 minutes away.

West Jordan has a specific excavation profile. Subdivisions built in the 1970s and 1980s on the eastside — older Copperton, the streets feeding into 7800 South — went in with clay sewer mains. Forty-plus years and a generation of mature trees later, those clay lines are full of root intrusion, offset joints, and stretches that have ovaled under the cobble-and-clay soil load. Newer 2010s+ infill around Oquirrh Lakes and the Sugar Factory area tends to have sound PVC, but the commercial corridor along Bangerter and Mountain View Village has its own story — restaurant grease lines, retail tenant improvements, parking-lot utility trenches, and the kind of overnight schedules that retail and medical require.

We're not subcontracting any of it. The same in-house crew that picks up the phone at our Dannon Way shop is the crew loading the truck, pulling the permit, filing Blue Stakes (Utah 811 — required by state law 48 business hours before any dig), and finishing the surface restoration. Most of our techs live in West Jordan, Riverton, or Herriman, so when a job stretches past 6 PM on a Friday, nobody's driving home to Salt Lake.
