Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 23, 2026

Valley Plumbing, Heating and Cooling is committed to making our website and services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe the web should work for all users, and we work continuously to meet and exceed accessibility standards.

Our Commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities — including visual, auditory, cognitive, learning, and motor impairments.

Our goal is to make sure every visitor can find information about our plumbing, HVAC, and excavation services, request an appointment, and contact us without barriers.

What We’ve Done

To meet our accessibility goals, we have built our website with the following in mind:

  • Semantic HTML — pages use proper heading structure, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can navigate them accurately
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone
  • Visible focus states — focused elements have a clear visual indicator
  • Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds
  • Alt text on images — meaningful images include descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are marked to be skipped by assistive technology
  • Descriptive link text — links make sense out of context (e.g., “schedule water heater service” instead of “click here”)
  • Form labels and error messages — every form field has an associated label, and errors are announced to screen readers
  • Responsive design — pages work at standard zoom levels up to 200% and across screen sizes from phone to desktop
  • Reduced motion support — animations respect the user’s “prefers-reduced-motion” system setting

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is a continuous process, not a one-time project. We test our site regularly with automated tools and manual audits, and we include accessibility checks in our development workflow before new pages or features go live.

Limitations & Feedback

Despite our efforts, some content on our website may not be fully accessible yet. This can happen for a few reasons:

  • Older content may not have been fully updated to current standards
  • Embedded third-party content (maps, videos, review widgets) may not meet every guideline
  • A specific assistive technology may interpret our site differently than we expect

If you run into an accessibility barrier on our site, we want to hear about it. Your feedback helps us prioritize fixes.

How to Report Issues

If you are experiencing difficulty with any part of our website, or if you need information or service that isn’t accessible to you, please contact us and we will help you directly:

Please include the page URL where you encountered the issue, a short description of what you were trying to do, and (if you’re comfortable sharing) the assistive technology or browser you’re using. We aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within two business days.

Third-Party Content

Parts of our website may include content provided by third parties — for example, Google Maps, embedded reviews, financing portals, and advertising widgets. We do not control the accessibility of those third-party tools. If a third-party tool is blocking you from accessing information, please let us know and we will provide the information to you directly.

Updates to This Statement

We will update this Accessibility Statement as our site and practices evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
